Move-out inspection
A documented walkthrough at the end of a tenancy, compared against move-in condition to determine deductions.
The move-out inspection is only meaningful against a move-in baseline. Photographs and a signed condition report at the start are what make deductions at the end supportable.
Many jurisdictions give tenants a right to be present or to receive an itemized statement within a set period.
