# Staging

Preparing and presenting a home so buyers can picture living in it, from decluttering through furnishing.

Staging ranges from cleaning, decluttering, and depersonalizing to renting furniture for an empty property. Its purpose is to help buyers form a positive first impression quickly, including in photographs.

The highest-return work is usually the least glamorous: light, cleanliness, and removing clutter, done before photography rather than after listing.
