# Days on market (DOM)

Also called: dom, days on market

How long a listing has been active, a signal buyers read as evidence about pricing.

DOM counts the days since a listing went active. Buyers use it as a proxy for desirability, and a rising count invites lower offers regardless of the property’s merits.

Delisting and relisting to reset the counter is visible in most systems and tends to read as exactly what it is.
