# Utah County Conforming Limit Lookup (How-To)

Look up the county-year. Do not paste a blog number into an offer.

To know whether a Utah purchase is conforming or jumbo, look up this year’s FHFA limit for the property county. FHFA publishes conforming loan limits each year by county. Utah counties differ (for example Salt Lake vs Summit). Look up the current-year FHFA table for the property county. Do not treat a number on a marketing page as the limit that will apply to your file. Snapshot as of 2026-08.

## Utah how-to (no stale table)

- Find the county on the tax notice or title commitment — not “Park City” vs “Heber” as a substitute.
- Open [FHFA’s conforming loan limit page](https://www.fhfa.gov/data/conforming-loan-limit) for the current year.
- Read the one-unit limit for that county (2–4 unit limits differ if that is the property).
- Compare the base loan amount. If you are over, read [jumbo vs conforming](/blog/jumbo-vs-conforming-fhfa-county-limit/) and [jumbo loans](/loans/jumbo/).
Utah counties are not identical. Summit County (Park City / Snyderville Basin) has historically been treated as high-cost relative to Salt Lake, Utah, and Davis counties. Always use this year’s table for the property county, not last year’s blog post.

## FHA is a different lookup

FHA county loan limits are published annually by HUD and differ from FHFA conforming limits. Look up the current HUD table for the property county. Do not treat a number on a marketing page as the limit that will apply to your file. HUD’s table: [HUD FHA mortgage limits](https://www.hud.gov/program_offices/housing/sfh/lender/origination/mortgagelimits).

## City pages are not limit tables

[Salt Lake City](/loans/salt-lake-city/), [Lehi](/loans/lehi/), [Provo](/loans/provo/), and [Draper](/loans/draper/) loans pages are local context. Limits still come from FHFA/HUD for the county-year. Rates context: [rates hub](/buy/rates/).

## Common questions

### Can I use last year’s Salt Lake number for a Park City purchase?

### Where is the official table?

## What to do next

Education first. A conversation with a loan officer is how you find out what may actually fit your file.
